CURTI EMMANUELE

Emmanuele Curti, archeologist, after having studied in Perugia, in 1992 has moved to London, working in UCL and Birkbeck College for 11 years, and then to University of Basilicata. His ‘archaeological’ research has been concentrating on aspects of Romanization of Italy and digs/projets in Pompei and Jordan. In the last years, his interest has moved towards politics/economies of cultural heritage, trying to pursue new approaches in the use of the past in contemporary society. He is also involved with local programs on culture, memory and the ‘rescue’ of local villages. He collaborates with Matera 2019 and is involved in networks of creative and cultural industry.
